I see such a wide variety of people at Just Pottering About, all of whom really seem to get a thrill out of painting pots.

There are children of all ages, who just love getting messy with a brush and paint – causing their parents much angst in the process. Of course, many will be well-used to painting from nursery, playgroup and home for that matter; however the chance to decorate an actual, functional object that they get to keep is really exciting for them. It’s very sweet to see the look on their faces when they come to collect their creation. Just so long as it gets home safely (that’s another story!), it’s sure to take pride of place on a mantelpiece or bookcase somewhere. Although, handing the pot over often comes with the parental caveat of, “Careful, it’s not a toy!”
